Oh yes you're coming with me in 2018

2018!
A year for new beginnings, a fresh start and no turning back apart from the products you still want to slay with in the new year.

For the rest of the week I will be posting up short videos discussing what products I will be using in 2018 and leaving behind. Each video will have a link of the product and where to purchase them from. I filmed this all at once hence why I will be in the same outfit.

Comment below discussing what products you are bringing or leaving behind. I would love to know.

Hope you enjoy xoxo

Unboxing Beautylish Lucky Bag

So your probably thinking what is a Beautylish Lucky Bag right?

A Beautylish lucky bag is a Japanese new years tradition and also known as 'Fukubukoro'. The mystery bag is filled with mixed products selected by Beautylish and in this case you were able to choose whether you wanted the fair to medium or dark to deep package.
The Beautylish lucky bag retails for $75 and for international customers you pay tax and duty fees at checkout so that there is no hassle when it arrives to your country. I paid overall the same as last year $108 making it £77.93. The value of the mystery lucky bag is suppose to be up to $150 or over.
(The XL is only for US customers only costing $150 and the value of products are $350 upwards)

Sign up here and mark your calendars for the next beautylish lucky bags:

Marc Jacob's matte highliners gel eye Crayon's- From influenster

The highly anticipated 'Highliners' have arrived right outside my door. And I'm very excited to share this with you all.
I recently received some cool products from a app named Influenster. Influenster kindly sent me some Marc Jacob's Matte 'Highliner' Gel Eye Crayon.

Please do check them out and you may be in a chance to receive some free goodies too. It's a fun app you can review all different types of products on there (food, beauty, games and more) Click the link below:

www.influenster.com/r/3014313

I was so surprised that I was chosen and so fortunate to receive the liners. Also I received colours that I absolutely love using on my eyes. On the John Lewis website the Marc Jacob highliners are described 'as a intensified rich pigment', 'glitter free' and 'malleable formula that glides on smoothly' .
These really do tick every box from what they claim to be. Now they do retail for £20 which is quite pricey for eyeliners, however Marc Jacob's is a high end brand that carry luxurious products. So overall I expected it to be a high price.

Where to buy John Lewis:

Below are some photos of the product and packaging that was sent to me.

Pink of me (top)  is a off white pink shade and Earthquake is deep brown shade (bottom)

Mini booklet with some information about the shades and the product as well as some images on how to use the liners on the eyes.

So what are my thoughts on the Marc Jacob matte 'Highliner' gel eye crayons? I think they work perfectly on the eyes especially on the waterline. I definitely need to get my hands on the blue shades (Out of the blue and Deja blue). I used 'pink of me' in my waterline and 'earthquake' on my lid to create a wing with my bold look. I did have to use a angled brush to angle the liner as the product was a little too creamy to get a precise line. The liner glided on like a dream and the pigmentation was amazing. The 'Highliner' showed up really well without me having to rub it roughly on my hand before putting it on my eyes (usually I rub the liner on my hand so the liner can show up on my eyes).

In the other image I used earthquake on my waterline for a more natural makeup look
And this was very easy to glide on too. The only issue I have with the 'Highliner' is because it's so creamy you have to be careful not to get carried away other wise the liner will smudge on your lower lash line or look messy. The liner does not move or budge at all after its been applied it lasts a quite a while. You need to wipe your eyes twice with wet wipes in order to take it off completely.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this eyeliner if your looking for a long staying power and a long lasting eyeliner. The price may be high for a gel crayon eyeliner but this is a high end brand and the quality is perfection.
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative Colour pop's crème gel eyeliners are really pigmented and retail for the fraction of the price $5 (£3.60)

Hope you enjoyed the review and check out the app for yourself.

Review on the Life on the Dancefloor Sparklers palette.

Hey guys,

I think 2018 is the year I decide what to name you beautiful subscribers... If you have any suggestions let me know below or by email (Bobbiebriscoe2@Hotmail.com).

This one has been a long one coming, since I did not have the time until after Christmas to review the Sparkler's palette. I mentioned in my previous post that you can purchase the life on the dancefloor palettes on Tam Beauty and also Superdrug.com (not in store).

Sparkler's palette click here
Or here

I used it in the video (which will be shown below)

My initial thoughts on this palette is that its  really good value for money, however I had a few issues with the matte shades. I guess its one of those palettes you get what you pay for, I felt the matte shades needed a lot of work whilst blending it on my eyes apart from the shade "push it". I had difficulty blending that purple shade (poppin) than I did with the rest of the matte shades I used.

I have not used all the matte shades on my eyes, but whilst I was swatching them on my arms some swatched a little chalky and I had to swatch them more than once. You will be able to notice in the photos below. Now I do not have a problem with that because the same thing happened with some shades in the Juvia's place Zulu palette (£20) and my Smashbox bold palette (sold out £24). Although those palettes work amazingly on my eyes, pack a punch of colour and blend out really well.

I have to remember that the Sparkler's palette is from the drugstore, so its not going to live up to the expectations of a high end palette. I do have to say most of the metallic and shimmers work tremendously well and I was pleased that they were as the Soph x palette performed really well too. I only had an issue with the dark blue shade "till morning" when I layered it on top of the concealer. I will try it out next time without concealer too see how it works.

I would rate this palette a 6.5/10.

Just because of the way it worked on my eyes. I think as a drugstore product it is a good palette for Halloween or if you prefer a cheaper alternative it would be great to have in your makeup collection. For me I felt it could of performed a little better, some shades I definitely will use in the  future.

I swatched all shades in the rows shown in the photo below. So you are able to see the shade names.

Hope you enjoyed reading this... Happy New Year and can not wait to jump into the new year!!!
