DIY: How to do false nails yourself

Welcome back.

Getting your nails done in the salon can either be time consuming or sometimes expensive. So I thought why not do a post on how to do your nails yourself, which is inexpensive. It's all about patience...

Make sure you have clean hands before starting. First off, if you have nail polish left on your nails clean it off with acetone.

The best thing about false nails is that you can buy them literally anywhere. Either in a drugstore or online, I bought mine from superdrug's around £3 or £4 (false nails range between £3-£7).

You should have a guide in the packet,  if not you can use my blogpost as a guide 😊.

1.) Clip nails down and smooth nail base with a nail file ( should come with the nail kit)

2.) Push cuticles down, do not be too harsh with your cuticles.

3.) Place nails on the table and choose the right acrylic nail that fits on your nails. (make sure you place them aside so you do not get confused with the wrong size nail) You can also file the acrylic nail before putting it on.

4.) Have a few cotton buds nearby when using the glue. Put glue on your small finger nail then add a little on acrylic nail ( do not put glue on your cuticle) then press down firmly and hold for 5 seconds.

5.) Have patience!!!

6.) You should have all nails on, wash your hands again and dry thoroughly. Shape the nails to your desired look or keep them as they are.

7.) Get ready to paint those nails. Any colour of your choice, I decided to go for the Barry M gelly hi-shine polish in black cherry (ring finger) and sparkling amethyst. I love dark nails

8.) Make sure you let the nail polish dry for 10-15 minutes max, so it does not mess up.

9.) Then your done girl 🙆💃💅💁
